Training camp has come and in 2 days it will be done. For the work I am doing the next 9 months I will need training for it so World Race sets up a camp for a week to help us prepare for the field! If I could only give one word to describe it I would say demanding. If we weren’t eating breakfast, lunch or dinner we are worshipping, praying, or learning about Gods love and how good our Heavenly Father is.
I could go on and on about training camp but I will give you the bullet points
-
We sleep in tents that we bought and put up for the entirety of the training camp.
-
There isabout 6 squads present for training camp and roughly 126 young adults getting ready for an amazing year!
-
It’s in Gainesville, Georgia from August 28-September 6th
-
Each day is somewhat different from the day before but usually the day consisted of:
-
7:45am morning devo
-
8:30am breakfast
-
9:30am worship
-
10:15am sermon
-
1:00pm lunch
-
2:00pm team prayer
-
2:30pm break
-
5:30pm dinner
-
6:30pm clean up
-
7:00pm free time
-
11:00pm lights out
So quite a lot. Its a lot of sermons and worship that help us prepare. I am so grateful for all this knowledge I have so now I can better go serve the nations and serve!
How I am feeling is all over. This week has been a very busy but also hard few days. There has been days that i feel discouraged, days I feel overwhelmed and days I feel on top of the world. But the big thing I learned this week is no matter how I am feeling God is in the center of it all blessed to be apart of all my emotions!
These next few weeks are a bit confusing but from September 6th to the 11th we are gonna do a domestic trip to Adrian Georgia to help build a base! Afterwards we will come back to training camp in Gainesville, Georgia to rest a few days and head out to Jamaica for 36 days (September 17 -October 22)! In Jamaica we will be building roofs and helping the community physically as well as emotionally.
I could really use prayers over the growth of our squad relationally as well as spiritually!
Thank you so much for constant prayers and your support!
Sincerely,
Anna
